Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Krasimir Mishovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Facundo Nazario sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Facundo Nazario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Facundo Nazario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Nazario in the 24th minute of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Krasimir Mishovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Krasimir Mishovski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Krasimir Mishovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute. Matey Matakiev hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Krasimir Mishovski made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Lokomotiv Plovdiv booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Krasen Kalenov came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krasen Kalenov couldn't finish the play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Facundo Nazario made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Gust Ennemans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Lokomotiv Plovdiv players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. In the 54th match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matey Matakiev to maneuver through the defense. Krasimir Mishovski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Facundo Nazario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Krasimir Mishovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krasimir Mishovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krasimir Mishovski did a great save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krasimir Mishovski having to interfere. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krasimir Mishovski having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Facundo Nazario in the 89th minute. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Krasimir Mishovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 96th minute, Facundo Nazario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
