If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Toledo. Gigabyte Futebol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marvin Harrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 40 minutes into the match, Fabio Schneider notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gigabyte Futebol's Anderson do Nascimento. Anderson do Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Gigabyte Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Teles in the 58th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Gigabyte Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Netto. With a little luck, Gigabyte Futebol's Anderson do Nascimento got control of the ball when Marvin Harrer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emílio Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Tinoco's late challenge caught a Austria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 96th minute Eurico Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Austria players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
