Vladeta Jovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Gigabyte Futebol's Celsinho Neiva got a free kick in the 34th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Drasko Rajkovic to make the kick off. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Teles went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Toledo in the 61st minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Eurico Toledo scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miljan Gavrilovic kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Borjan Golubovic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Toledo in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Gigabyte Futebol's Gerson Tinoco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Toledo in the 92nd minute of the match. Serbia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
