The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Barreto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bill Carmichael. That made the score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Bill Carmichael didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Portugal's Felipe Barreto shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 33rd minute, Graciano Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Topsail's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Griffin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Griffin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Rodolfo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Santos Griffin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by 孔城森 in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Lucas Mota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Topsail's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Griffin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Samet Yanık, made in the 79th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Mota in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Topsail booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Mota in the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, 孔城森 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 92nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. After 93 minutes of play, Topsail's Santos Griffin made it 4-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
