Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Pál Benkó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 3rd minute of play. Chris Nygaard scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pál Benkó, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pál Benkó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Chris Nygaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pál Benkó was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bertram Svenningsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 20th minute of play forced Leeds's goalkeeper Pál Benkó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertram Svenningsen scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pál Benkó, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 41 minutes, Mihály Szikora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leeds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihály Szikora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márton Petres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gábor Kádár hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihály Szikora was the one to do the kick off. Márton Petres's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márton Petres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Márton Petres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Benkó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Márton Salgó made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Dudics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olav Graversen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pál Benkó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Leeds's Imre Selymes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Denmark's Chris Nygaard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pál Benkó. Pál Benkó yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 79th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gábor Kádár during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gábor Kádár hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olav Graversen hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Mihály Szikora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Márton Salgó in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen. Bertram Svenningsen struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Pál Benkó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. In the 96th minute Márton Petres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
