Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sreten Popovic made the kick off which started today's match. Ali Ning made in the 3rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alam Yi-Sheng. After 7 played minutes Brighton got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Low. 9 minutes into the match, Serbia's Borjan Golubovic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darryl Boon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miljan Gavrilovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Darryl Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute of the match, Sreten Popovic got a very nice opportunity to score, but Darryl Boon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Alam Yi-Sheng came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alam Yi-Sheng couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Alam Yi-Sheng came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jovan Borisov hit a great ball. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alam Yi-Sheng went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faizal Choo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brighton's Darryl Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sreten Popovic in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Brighton defense, Sreten Popovic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darryl Boon. The Brighton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darryl Boon should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute of the game Ali Ning made a throw-in which Firdauz Politiek played forward. 43 minutes into the game, Alam Yi-Sheng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 47 minutes into the game, Faizal Choo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Faizal Choo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borjan Golubovic in the 61st minute of play forced Brighton's goalkeeper Darryl Boon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faizal Choo got free with Zvezdan Nedeljkovic in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniz Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 67th minute Alam Yi-Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sreten Popovic kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Darryl Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sreten Popovic, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 91st minute, Sreten Popovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Brighton supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brighton would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
