When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bonifacio Arotza to make any attempt to save it. Dante Oihenarte charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dante Oihenarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 9 minutes into the match, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goalkeeper Bonifacio Arotza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet as Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bonifacio Arotza. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Bonifacio Arotza. Bonifacio Arotza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Iván Pillud fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Iván Pillud hit a great ball. Bonifacio Arotza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer. In the 22nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Laurentzi in the 23rd minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Bonifacio Arotza made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bonifacio Arotza. The goal made the score 4-0. Bonifacio Arotza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bonifacio Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Alonzo Sarracino got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Bonifacio Arotza in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Laurentzi in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bonifacio Arotza. The ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bonifacio Arotza should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Sarracino during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Laurentzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 65th minute of play forced ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goalkeeper Bonifacio Arotza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Bonifacio Arotza managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Arotza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Iván Pillud got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bonifacio Arotza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 97thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Bonifacio Arotza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
