Alexei Perju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selçuk Durcan in the 6th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuzer Cesur in the 8th minute of play. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Vecdi Yurday made a huge save. GÜMELİSPOR's Vecdi Yurday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Selçuk Durcan came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, GÜMELİSPOR's goalkeeper Vecdi Yurday had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayati Koray in the 23rd minute of play. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vecdi Yurday. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexei Perju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Vecdi Yurday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, GÜMELİSPOR's Oğuzer Cesur got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oğuzer Cesur to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Hakkı Paşa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GÜMELİSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. Vecdi Yurday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Selçuk Durcan came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the GÜMELİSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selçuk Durcan couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, GÜMELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Vecdi Yurday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when GÜMELİSPOR's Selçuk Durcan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 89th minute of play forced GÜMELİSPOR's goalkeeper Vecdi Yurday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albin Holweck scored 2-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vecdi Yurday, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Oğuzer Cesur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-1 in the 96 minute of play. Germany's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
