La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, La Scaloneta's Leandro Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Jilek was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Cristian Romero got a free kick in the 50th minute. Vavrinec Holub was a little too slow when Leandro Paredes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-6. If Denis Dostal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis MacAlister in the 73rd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute of the match, Leandro Paredes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vavrinec Holub was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Lautaro Martinez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ángel-Fabián Di María, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vavrinec Holub was a little too slow when Lautaro Martinez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-13.
