The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Markos Bibis was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. A collision led to PAOK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ilias Mitsias hit a great ball. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. In the 19th play minute Anestis Tzougarakis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Keld Paulsen. 1-0. Markos Bibis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ilias Mitsias hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PAOK's Markos Bibis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 minutes, Chris Nygaard made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. PAOK's Markos Bibis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Markos Bibis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 30th minute of the match. PAOK's Giorgos Tomaras got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anestis Tzougarakiss short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Keld Paulsen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Markos Bibis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markos Bibis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anestis Tzougarakis made a kick off. The PAOK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Markos Lazakis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Markos Bibis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Chris Nygaard in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
