Marcus Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The Denmark fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Denmark's Chris Nygaard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chris Nygaard scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráusio Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dráusio Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão de Barros during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cremonese FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Denmark a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chris Nygaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cremonese FC's Dráusio Ortiz. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Batista in the 30th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Chris Nygaard went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Simon Bendtsen hit a great ball. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dráusio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Cosme. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olav Graversen was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cristóvão de Barros hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dida Tróia to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bendtsen to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Marcus Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cremonese FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Dráusio Ortiz managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Denmark's Chris Nygaard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dida Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dráusio Ortiz, 0-5. Chris Nygaard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 84th playminute. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Dráusio Ortiz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chris Nygaard had several of the Cremonese FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Dráusio Ortiz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Valle in the 92nd minute of play.
