Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Peletier took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Carlinhos Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrianinho Abraão made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by France's Remy Dupuy. Júlio Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remy Dupuy in the 12th minute. If Robert Chapuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Peletier in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Mello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Couto in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Júlio Mello got control of the ball when Camille Baume tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper Júlio Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot by David Barbier from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Júlio Mello's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Ricardo Torres fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's protests and gave Ricardo Torres a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of France booed when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serginho Arantes went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Amauri Borges hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot. France's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Peletier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Peletier's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Júlio Mello firmly grabbed it by the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game Amauri Borges did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adrianinho Abraão. Frank Peletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Júlio Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Peletier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Júlio Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Barbier in the 63rd minute of play. Júlio Mello came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by France's David Barbier. But to his dismay, David Barbier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Carlinhos Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Júlio Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, France's Robert Chapuis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Mello was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Camille Baume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Júlio Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 90th minute of play. When Frank Peletier fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored France's protests and gave Frank Peletier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Peletier to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. France fully deserved thier win.
