Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Narciso Madureira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Narciso Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderbal Santos having to interfere. In the 8th minute Fabricio Andrade suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Betão Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Portugal's Gustavo Matos was substituted for Fabricio Andrade. Caco Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Portugal's Felipe Barreto tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Straedelburgh's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Aderbal Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Aderbal Santos in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Vilas Boas in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Sílvio Ferrão made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 33rd minute of play forced Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barretos short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Aderbal Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aderbal Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Narciso Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Vilas Boas got free with Wilson Amorim in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Straedelburgh's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Aderbal Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Straedelburgh's Karl-Michael Helström was substituted for Narciso Madureira. After having played for 62 minutes, Caetano Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Sílvio Ferrão made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. In the 68th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Caetano to maneuver through the defense. When Emanuel Tome came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Straedelburgh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Tome couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Gunnar Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Felipinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Marcos Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Ferrão in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 86th minute of play forced Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Caetano Moreira hit a great ball. Luciano Mineiro made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Karl-Michael Helström. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Rodolfo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Straedelburgh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
