FC ANC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilie Hodorog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Denmark's Chris Nygaard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petrică Dăscălescu. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Petrică Dăscălescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Denmark walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
