In the 4th minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Laércio Lara scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Nhungarinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Camargo to maneuver through the defense. If Conrado Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denmark's attentive Simon Bendtsen managed to snatch the ball when Juan Penha made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Nhungarinthians's Laércio Lara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 21 minutes into the game, Conrado Netto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Keld Paulsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Laércio Lara took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Keld Paulsen to make any attempt to save it. From a short distance, Nhungarinthians's Laércio Lara, in the 28th minute, tried to place the ball behind Keld Paulsen, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Penha in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Lars Steen. Juan Penha made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ezequiel Nascimento was slow to take the kick. During this time Nhungarinthians's players had a chance to rest. Nhungarinthians's Ezequiel Nascimento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keld Paulsen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Keld Paulsen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. Laércio Lara struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nhungarinthians. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Lara in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Lara in the 51st minute of the match. Denmark's attentive Bertram Svenningsen managed to snatch the ball when Juan Penha made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. In the 55th minute of the match, Chris Nygaard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmund Kojder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Kojder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Marcus-Vinícius Franceschelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 71st minute Laércio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Lara scored 7-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Penha in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Laércio Lara sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. When Nhungarinthians's Laércio Lara in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
