The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesús Caminero was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Argen-Taino's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Jesús Caminero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Stewarts in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jesús Caminero made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Jesús Caminero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute.
