If Raik Ağın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 7 in the game by Johannes Brandin from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Janik Vogt's late challenge caught a FC St. Pauli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janik Vogt helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörn Bremming got free with Tommy Kahn in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Buach Byrne having to make a save. Emil Enegren in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommy Kahn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 27 minutes of play, FC St. Pauli's Emil Enegren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Johannes Brandin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. FC St. Pauli's Emil Enegren got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Kahn didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC St. Pauli's Johannes Brandin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Buach Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Enegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Raik Ağın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Germany's Frank Sachs in the 52nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Buach Byrne was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC St. Pauli through an amazing save. After 52 played minutes FC St. Pauli got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Brandin. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Enegren came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Emil Enegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Johannes Brandin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC St. Pauli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Brandin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When FC St. Pauli's Emil Enegren in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Brandin couldn't finish the play. In the 78thth minute of the game Emil Enegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the FC St. Pauli players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
