When Diablos FC's Asencio Cuffaro in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 15th minute of the match, Lars Meesters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Vítor de Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 15th minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Riego hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Vítor de Amorim skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Reimundo Casado came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Vítor de Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Casado in the 33rd minute of play. Diablos FC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sydney Alcântara took the corner. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaviedes Arrese in the 38th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Kaviedes Arrese made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but João Vítor de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Casado in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Diablos FC's Franklin Hostos got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. Sydney Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Diablos FC defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Vítor de Amorim. The Diablos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Vítor de Amorim should have stopped the shot. After 92 played minutes Diablos FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Riego. Netherlands's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
