Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edgar Badia could save by the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Feria came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute PERSPOLIS were awarded a corner. Honorio Carceles went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edgar Badia made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Takacs Tibor sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute, Takacs Tibor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Feria came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Shabeb Al Dowaisan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Edgar Badia in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Quintero came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Quintero in the 35th minute of play. Edgar Badia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Edgar Badia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. Shabeb Al Dowaisan kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Edgar Badia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 66th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emiliano Quintero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 68 minute of play. PERSPOLIS's Ekialde Nadal was substituted for Facundo Feria. 75 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Bela Herrero came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Edgar Badia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. PERSPOLIS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hungary's much stronger midfield.
