Eusébio Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. In the 12th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Steen to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Jeferson Peixoto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Keld Paulsen. The goal made the score 1-0. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Eusébio Rezende took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Keld Paulsen to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Arósio came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Marco Vinhas got a free kick in the 21st minute. 29 minutes into the game, Tony Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Tony Botelho hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A collision led to Leão STAND BY FSCMZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marco Vinhas hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Bertram Svenningsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Arósio was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Jeferson Peixoto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chris Nygaard was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Theis Winther got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Rezende in the 54th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Vinhas's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Marco Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bjarne Kirkegaard was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jeferson Peixoto sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. After having played for 78 minutes, Eusébio Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Anselmo Cabral got a free kick in the 81st minute. Rômulo Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Leão STAND BY FSCMZ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
