Ferdinand Pflügge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik in the 17th minute of play. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Szekeres Tamas with Takacs Tibor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 24 minutes, Ćiro Immobile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ćiro Immobile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinand Pflügge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Major Barna's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Erwin Jankowsky tried to sneak it across the goal line. Werner Barz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Burkhard Seelert was slow to take the kick. During this time Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Erwin Jankowsky. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Abdülhak Oyhan put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Hungary booed when Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Oyhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Pflügge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 39th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ferdinand Pflügge managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferdinand Pflügge despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 88 played minutes Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Jankowsky. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Antal Valentin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ferdinand Pflügge made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
