Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fred Kirkpatrick kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Tytus Banaszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Banaszak came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Kirkpatrick got free with Tommy Kahn in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Zamalek FC's Tommy Kahn threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tytus Banaszak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sergey Krasinskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rhys Dimmock. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rhys Dimmock should have stopped the shot. Fred Kirkpatrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Duff to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Zamalek FC made a substitution. Leonardo Lane replaced Tytus Banaszak. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Albin Holweck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rhys Dimmock. The goal made the score 0-2. Albin Holweck might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albin Holweck ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rhys Dimmock saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Lane in the 59th minute of play. After 66 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Davis Duff who took care of the corner kick. Mugurel Balaeț's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Frank Sachs made a great header on Germany's corner, it was just that Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 77th minute, Frank Sachs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rhys Dimmock. The goal made the score 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Lane in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 minutes of play, Zamalek FC's Leonardo Lane made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zamalek FC's Daron Joseph was substituted for Fred Kirkpatrick. In the 88th minute Daron Joseph shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, Zamalek FC's Davis Duff shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zamalek FC reached it. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sachs to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Leonardo Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
