The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Denmark's Olav Graversen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Giuseppe Queirós in the 3 minute of the game. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Giuseppe Queirós hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Queirós threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Denmark's attentive Simon Bendtsen managed to snatch the ball when Giuseppe Queirós made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 16th minute of the game was made by Giuseppe Queirós with Ernani Valladares as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomé Mota in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agua Santa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Giuseppe Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 31st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bertram Svenningsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Mota was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Trigo in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Trigo came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséas Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Agua Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Chris Nygaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomé Mota quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sidney da Mata hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Bertram Svenningsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Tomé Mota made a huge save. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséas Trigo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Tomé Mota was a little too slow when Bertram Svenningsen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. 65 minutes into the game, João Pedro Gaspar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Theis Winther quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomé Mota was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Bertram Svenningsen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bertram Svenningsen really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Giuseppe Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tomé Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Chris Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 89th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
