The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but João Brites made a huge save. A hard shot 12 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented João Brites managed to make a qualified save. Mira Sintra's players were relieved. Mira Sintra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wendy Irama in the 15th minute. João Brites made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Mira Sintra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudemiro Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Amauri van Beek sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Mira Sintra's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Brites came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mathijn Doctor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Brites. Mira Sintra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathijn Doctor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 秦浩洲 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 秦浩洲, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mira Sintra's João Brites. João Brites was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. João Brites was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Brites saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Brites made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 97th minute of play.
