The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vila Nova GO's Alfredão Freitas did a great save. Vila Nova GO's Alfredão Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 29th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Jacinto Prado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Nova GO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Vila Nova GO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Terra to strike the kick off in the second half. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Freitas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Major Barna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vila Nova GO's Jacinto Prado got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredão Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Vila Nova GO's goalkeeper Alfredão Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. Alfredão Freitas made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vila Nova GO throughout the match.
