Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hami Tuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Major Barna hit a great ball. The supporters of Hungary booed when Band Of Brothers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Granum didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 12th minute of play forced Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Hami Tuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Band Of Brothers's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Hami Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Kielberg in the 18th minute of play. Antal Valentin in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hami Tuna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anders Kielberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Erling Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Hungary's Balazs Lajos pulled a muscle in his leg after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 47 minutes, Vilgot Falk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Band Of Brothers and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vilgot Falk kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Bakos Endre kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Erling Bennet made the kick off in the second half. If Anders Kielberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Carl Caniggia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Band Of Brothers's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Caniggia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hami Tuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hami Tuna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Erling Bennet sent off a good shot on target. Band Of Brothers's Erling Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Katona Janos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Band Of Brothers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Takacs Tibor heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hami Tuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 88th minute of the match. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hami Tuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hungary's Balazs Norbert suffered a sore thigh after 98 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Evgenij Davydov charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evgenij Davydov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hungary made a substitution. Gaspar Akos replaced Balazs Norbert. Evgenij Davydov kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hungary had played much better football throughout.
