Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edward Vanderstraeten kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 3rd minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Scutti. Rolando Obano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Spitaleri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siebe Michiels in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 23rd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Spitaleri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Scutti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Casper Claes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Borgo Doria F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Michal Beninda hit a great ball. Alberto Scutti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corrado Spitaleri. Borgo Doria F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borgo Doria F.C.! Borgo Doria F.C.'s Dino Simeoni got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Scutti to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Alberto Scutti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borgo Doria F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Scutti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Nigel Devos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Simeoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Nigel Devos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borgo Doria F.C.'s Michal Beninda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Belgium. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corrado Spitaleri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Scutti in the 76th minute of play. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Scutti, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Simeoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Simeoni came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
