Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dario Addari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 4th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Demetrio Cannata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Addari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Addari having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rico Taha in the 27th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Fiume Veneto's Cristiano Graziano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Fiume Veneto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Dario Addari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demetrio Cannata's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demetrio Cannata helped the player get up and apologised. When Rico Taha fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fiume Veneto's protests and gave Rico Taha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rico Taha to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dario Addari could save by the left post. In the 58th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Addari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Addari made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Eikelkamp in the 66th minute. Wim Wilmes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Addari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiume Veneto's Dario Addari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dario Addari. That made the score 1-3 after 83 minutes of play. In the 87th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Dario Addari. Fiume Veneto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
