Abel Orlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Kees Mooiweer in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gorgory's Agustín Ramis. Abel Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lars Meesters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Orlan was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Gorgory's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Abel Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gorgory's zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Orlan came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Gorgory:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Abel Orlan had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 79th minute. The supporters of Gorgory booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Gorgory's Abel Orlan got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel Orlan. That made the score 0-2 after 89 minutes of play. 92 minutes into the match, Gorgory's goalkeeper Abel Orlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. After 95 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. Netherlands played a much better game than Gorgory and deserved their victory. The Gorgory players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
