With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Józef Mlynarczyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 27th minute of play. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio-Paul Caniggia went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Józef Mlynarczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Józef Mlynarczyk having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Claudio-Paul Caniggia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio-Paul Caniggia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Claudio-Paul Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio-Paul Caniggia went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, Julio Tolino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Deportivo Pucho made a substitution. Timoteo Eneko replaced Gilmar Mendes. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 56th minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Józef Mlynarczyk having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Józef Mlynarczyk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio-Paul Caniggia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Claudio-Paul Caniggia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Julio Tolino sent off a good shot on target. Claudio-Paul Caniggias short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 84 in the game by Claudio-Paul Caniggia from a close distance when the talented Arnout Reekers managed to make a qualified save. Netherlands's players were relieved. When %teams%'s Claudio-Paul Caniggia was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-5 just inside the left pole, 84 minutes into the game. Arnout Reekers was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 86th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Józef Mlynarczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Deportivo Pucho players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
