Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Ricardo Guerra sent off a good shot on target. If Tomás Jordão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 6th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Januário Rangel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MEXACOMX defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Januário Rangel. The MEXACOMX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Januário Rangel should have stopped the shot. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of MEXACOMX booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Julio-César Romo-Leroux. 30 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Jordão came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Ricardo Guerra put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Jordão in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Ricardo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes MEXACOMX's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gustaaf Groeneveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel did a great save. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomás Jordão made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's Tomás Jordão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Guerra in the 59th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Januário Rangel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Jordão in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. MEXACOMX's Julio-César Romo-Leroux was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Januário Rangel made a huge save. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Jordão in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Tomás Jordão made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tomás Jordão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. MEXACOMX's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
