The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Simeoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Corrado Spitaleri made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camille Baume in the 39th minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
