After a rather tough play, Sotelo AFC's Celso Quentin got a free kick in the 10th minute. Robustiano Gelmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Rodolfo Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Perfecto in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Perfecto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Rodolfo Perfecto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Perfecto made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Mosen kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sotelo AFC's Rodolfo Perfecto got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robustiano Gelmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Perfecto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 81st minute of play forced Sotelo AFC's goalkeeper Robustiano Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sotelo AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
