Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. Selçuk Eldem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 10th minute of play. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Selçuk Eldem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Koulis Kopsas lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 17 minutes into the game, one of Karavostásis BC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Karavostásis BC's Eteokles Mitsinikos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Selçuk Eldem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Selçuk Eldem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Cristo Martino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selçuk Eldem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selçuk Eldem having to interfere. A collision led to Karavostásis BC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pau Broche hit a great ball. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Martino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
