Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Haisenberg Dolar started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 10th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Franco Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Haisenberg Dolar came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Clube Audax Metropolitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haisenberg Dolar couldn't finish the play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Franco Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Bjørn Ironside was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Audax Metropolitano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Bjørn Ironside hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Bjørn Ironside who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Tróia in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Clube Audax Metropolitano defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Szczęsny. The Clube Audax Metropolitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Szczęsny should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Shi Ying Jian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Haisenberg Dolar. But to his dismay, Haisenberg Dolar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 37th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franco Szczęsny. Franco Szczęsny yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjørn Ironside, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Franco Szczęsny made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Haisenberg Dolar scored 2-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, David Eikelkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Szczęsny was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 61 minutes into the game, Betinho Tróia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Franco Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 67th minute of play. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Bruno Aleixo was substituted for Claudinho Quadros. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Clube Audax Metropolitano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube Audax Metropolitano's Franco Szczęsny did a great save. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube Audax Metropolitano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. In the 74th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Szczęsny was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Clube Audax Metropolitano's attentive Emanuel Esteves managed to snatch the ball when Kees Mooiweer made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube Audax Metropolitano's Franco Szczęsny did a great save. 86 minutes into the match, Eriberto Netto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Netto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Eriberto Netto scored 4-5 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Clube Audax Metropolitano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
