Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoriy Kudryavtsev in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Geo-Winner were awarded a corner. Veniamin Gorshkov went to the cornerflag to take it. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge-Luis Borges in the 25th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maksim Dunaevskiy was the one to do the kick off. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fodor Daniel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hegedus Henrik struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gleb Stroganov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 63rdth minute of the game Maksim Dunaevskiy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gleb Stroganov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gleb Stroganov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Hungary's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
