A nice corner shot did that Frank Sachs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 19th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Kevin Tevreden with Fabio Botello as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Łukasz Zwolinski's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute FFC Merainies 03 were awarded a corner. Fabio Botello went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Germany's goalie and right to Ksawery Gongola. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Germany's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Leon Craandijk kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match.
