An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 13th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Taco Joppets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos de Kort in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. FFC Merainies 03's Taco Joppets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerjan de Visser. The supporters of Hungary booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ab Hoogenkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Taco Joppets came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Joppets having to interfere. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Joppets having to interfere. Taco Joppets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 26th minute of play. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 27th minute. Koos de Kort hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Taco Joppets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 31st minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Hungary's Takacs Tibor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Taco Joppets was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taco Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Takacs Tibor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Joppets having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Takacs Tibor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerjan de Visser to strike the kick off in the second half. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Taco Joppets made a huge save. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Joppets having to interfere. After some careless play in the FFC Merainies 03 defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taco Joppets. The FFC Merainies 03 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taco Joppets should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Ab Hoogenkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Antal Valentin could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Taco Joppets however easily saved by the left post. After 71 played minutes Antal Valentin rounded FFC Merainies 03's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Taco Joppets made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, FFC Merainies 03's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Major Barna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Huub Harmsen. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FFC Merainies 03 throughout the match.
