Mehmet Emin Kamer was slow to take the kick. During this time Criciúma Esporte Clube's players had a chance to rest. In the 7th minute, Bieito Villaurreta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Emin Kamer's late challenge caught a STORM CORNER F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Emin Kamer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of STORM CORNER F.C. booed when Criciúma Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Emin Kamer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ionuț Jităreanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evelio Antoniano. Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krisztián Lisztes in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Reinhold Artmaier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Antoniano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Antoniano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krisztián Lisztes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Antoniano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ede Szász went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Evelio Antoniano came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by STORM CORNER F.C.'s Ede Szász. But to his dismay, Ede Szász quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Evelio Antoniano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ede Szász in the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ede Szász ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evelio Antoniano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 46th minute Ede Szász shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Antoniano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Zoltán Vásárhelyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STORM CORNER F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Criciúma Esporte Clube the free kick. After a rather tough play, STORM CORNER F.C.'s Zoltán Vásárhelyi got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Mehmet Emin Kamer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Laurentzi to make the kick off. Gaztea Regalado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Kaan Winter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Jităreanu in the 57th minute of play. Gaztea Regalado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ede Szász in the 61st minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ede Szász came free, but Evelio Antoniano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ede Szász reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evelio Antoniano. The goal made the score 0-4. Evelio Antoniano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Lisztes in the 73rd minute of the match. Ionuț Jităreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Evelio Antoniano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ede Szász had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. STORM CORNER F.C.'s Kaan Winter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaztea Regalado in the 87th minute of play. Ionuț Jităreanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Evelio Antoniano could save by the left post. Ionuț Jităreanu took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evelio Antoniano. Evelio Antoniano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5.
