The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Pedro Augusto Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Kjellman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildo Marques made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gnaget AIK's Tom Kling. Daniel Chaves made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jan-Ove Dahlman sent off a good shot on target. Stig-Åke Wall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Moisescu in the 22nd minute of play forced Gnaget AIK's goalkeeper Viktor Kjellman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, Gnaget AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Glad to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gică Moisescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Viktor Kjellman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 54 minutes into the match, Dragões Barbudos FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Glad came free, but Daniel Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viktor Kjellman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Idalécio Baldaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute, Stig-Åke Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Dragões Barbudos FC's Celestino Acevedo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Christian Stål kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
