The audience was convinced that Juan Gabriel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salvador Lazcano was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Salvador Lazcano was a little too slow when Benicio Loiola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. José Carlos Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Yucatan F.C.'s Salvador Lazcano threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Gabriel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
