In the 18thth minute of the game Cristoforo Volpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Graziano in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Cristiano Graziano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. 32 minutes into the game, Cristiano Graziano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Cristiano Graziano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 0-4. The Fiume Veneto fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Fiume Veneto's Cristiano Graziano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot by Rico Taha from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Tommy Kahn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cristoforo Volpe scored 0-8 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88thth minute of the game Cristiano Graziano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Graziano in the 90th minute of the match. When the match was over Fiume Veneto could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germany throughout the match.
