When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Krzysztof Balonek took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Casper Claes to make any attempt to save it. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krzysztof Balonek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 19th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fc. CzApEnCe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Fc. CzApEnCe:s Édouard Mendy showed great skill when he stopped Edward Vanderstraeten:s penalty. Fc. CzApEnCe's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26th minute of play. Zachary Krzynowek hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Fc. CzApEnCe defense, Yves Dervaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Édouard Mendy. The Fc. CzApEnCe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Édouard Mendy should have stopped the shot. If Yves Dervaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Yves Dervaux took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Édouard Mendy. Édouard Mendy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 44th minute Zachary Krzynowek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zachary Krzynowek in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zachary Krzynowek got free with Casper Claes in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Krzynowek in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belgium had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
