The supporters of International Thunders booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viriato Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Lionel 柯景亦 kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Rouven Nussli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 18th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯亦思, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Rouven Nussli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 30 minutes International Thunders's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. 36 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Costa came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match International Thunders got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlo Gerick ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlo Gerick got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Rouven Nussli made a huge save. The throw-in from Lionel 柯景亦 in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. Rouven Nussli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 55th minute of play forced International Thunders's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rouven Nussli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 57th minute of the match. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 78th minute of play. Nichifor Borăscu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilson Amorim firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rouven Nussli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Felipinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Portugal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Julien-Nils Freeh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of International Thunders:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portugal:s goal. Rouven Nussli had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Pimentel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 96 minutes into the match, International Thunders's Loukianos Staikos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rouven Nussli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. International Thunders walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
