The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C.A. Husky's Jago Urquijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play. Jago Urquijo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 11th minute of play forced C.A. Husky's goalkeeper Jago Urquijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jago Urquijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mino Quesada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nabar Zafrilla in the 27th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tallia Incera came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jago Urquijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tallia Incera, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nabar Zafrilla. The supporters of Netherlands booed when C.A. Husky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Jespersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of play forced C.A. Husky's goalkeeper Jago Urquijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nabar Zafrilla in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kajar Indrekson to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, C.A. Husky's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Jago Urquijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A. Husky's Jago Urquijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 54th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jago Urquijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Antero Otero took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. C.A. Husky made a substitution. Victor Molin replaced Marcos Azofra. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Jago Urquijo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Tallia Incera made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 89th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. C.A. Husky were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
