After having played for 18 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hadi Zamani in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Kees Mooiweer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrianinho Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 41 minutes, David Eikelkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Futebol Dos Parça players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Lindholm came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hadi Zamani took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. A collision led to Futebol Dos Parça getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jesper Åberg hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Enrique Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 54th minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Futebol Dos Parça's goalkeeper Enrique Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Hadi Zamani tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Futebol Dos Parça's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Enrique Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Adrianinho Eger scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-6. Enrique Freire came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. A collision led to Futebol Dos Parça getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz hit a great ball. In the 95th match minute, Futebol Dos Parça was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Ferraz to maneuver through the defense.
