If Hernán Palacios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernán Palacios in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, David Aranda put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Raúl Laredo. Omar Toledo came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raúl Laredo could save by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. Jonathan Criado hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Adria Bielsa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raúl Laredo. Delinquentes Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adria Bielsa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 74th minute Carles Cherro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Laredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Carles Cherro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl Laredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Spain made a substitution. Raúl Laredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Raúl Laredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Ruiz in the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Spain were the better team. Spain's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
