Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Palermo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Sánchez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Hungary booed when Magic is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Trobbiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Palermo in the 24th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Palermo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Magic is Back was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Potente to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcelo Trobbiani who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sebastián Battaglia got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 34 minutes into the match. Ruben Sánchez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hungary's Antal Valentin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 41 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Ruben Sánchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Palermos short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Fodor Daniel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martin Palermo in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sánchez having to interfere. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Palermo in the 71st minute of play. Magic is Back's Claudio Marangoni managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Szekeres Tamas in the 72 minute of the game. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Batistuta in the 73rd minute of play. Szekeres Tamas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. 90 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Despite being the better team, Hungary failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
