Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Odén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Martin Odén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juoksengi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Czech Republic's zone, Martin Odén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal and Martin Odén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. 39 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when John Wiberg came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Jilek to make the kick off. John Wiberg hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svatopluk Capek to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Juoksengi booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kvetoslav Janku didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Juoksengi got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Söder. The supporters of Juoksengi booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svatopluk Capek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esbjörn Söder fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 97th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. After having played for 98 minutes, John Wiberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juoksengi's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Wiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
