After having played for 3 minutes, Simon Santa María managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzurum25's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Santa María was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Czerniak in the 4th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. In the 7th minute, Aurelian Mirciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bianco Di Camillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 12th minute. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Di Camillo having to interfere. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Czerniak in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Santa María, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Dariusz Czerniak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Charles-Henri Bartoli in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Albin Holweck. Charles-Henri Bartoli made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ernest Chevreuil. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bianco Di Camillo saved Erzurum25 from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 78th minute of play forced Erzurum25's goalkeeper Bianco Di Camillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Dariusz Czerniak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erzurum25's supporters rose to their feet, but Dariusz Czerniak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored Erzurum25's protests and gave Ogün Samast a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Germany. Frank Sachs stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bianco Di Camillo. 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Germany fans cheered their team off the field, for while Erzurum25 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
